Born in 1985 in Sydney (Australia), Arj Selvam graduated from The University of Western Australia with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce (Finance) in 2008. Having always had a penchant for high-end, avant-garde fashion, Arj Selvam utilized his knowledge acquired from University as well as self-teachings to launch his eponymous label ARJ SELVAM in 2009. His concise debut summer collection "1.618" featured superior fabrics and construction in a minimalist black and white colour palette.
